The South Jersey Bowling Association has given out cash scholarships to graduating seniors from 1987 to 2006. After chartering with the USBC in May 2006, the South Jersey USBC Bowling Association renamed its former scholarship award to the South Jersey USBC Bowling Association Hank Mills Educational Assistance Award. The educational assistance awards are based on scholastic accomplishments, leadership, and citizenship.
To be eligible, the applicant must be a high school senior sponsored by a current member of the South Jersey USBC Bowling Association.
To apply for the Hank Mills Educational Assistance Award, download and complete the Hank Mills Educational Assistance Award Application. All applications must be returned to the Education Committee along with the required transcript and written essay on or before April 15th.
Each year, the South Jersey USBC Bowling Association Education Committee will be responsible for choosing the recipient(s) from the applications submitted. The committee reviews each applicant's written essay, high school transcript and application. This rubric is evaluated every year.
